In the early church, people met daily in their homes, broke bread, worshiped and prayed together.
At Lamplight we are seeking to be like the early church. We are often meeting for coffee, going to the cinema, having meals in each others homes, that sort of thing.
We also meet together regularly in a variety of settings. For full details of when we meet, go to our calendar page.
What to expect at each of our meetings…
We meet Sundays at the Mill-Courtland Community Centre from 10:00am. 
Our Sunday morning meetings are an opportunity to gather together to celebrate all that Jesus has done in our lives, to minister to one-another in the power of the Spirit and to hear from God’s Word.
Our dress code is simple: Please wear clothes. Our style is relaxed: come as you are!
The morning service starts at 10:00am with 30 minutes or so of mostly modern, sung worship. All are invited to join in with the worship – feel free to sit or stand or kneel, pray, bring words of knowledge or prophesy, tongues, interpretation of tongues – all the good, biblical worship stuff!
During the worship time, if you have a prayer of praise or an edifying Scripture to read out, please do so. If you feel you have a specific word of prophesy or word of knowledge then we ask that you first share it with the leader who is responsible for the meeting. This is so that “everything can be done in order” and the message can then be shared at an appropriate time in the worship or in another setting.
Our worship time is followed by a 10 minute coffee and fellowship time (there’s cookies too!). After that the children (2-11 yrs) go out for Lamplight Kidz and the adults receive 30 minutes or so of Bible-based teaching. We’re usually all wrapped up by 12 noon.

There is currently a choice of 2 different Connect Groups.
Connect Groups are the place to:
- get connected in to the life of Lamplight
- do ‘real life’ together
- receive pastoral care and support from one another
- reach out to our local neighbourhoods and communities
- pray and worship together
- study Scripture or relevant Christian books together
- explore what it means to be Christ followers together – both in theory and in practice!
The life of Lamplight happens in our Connect Groups!
Connect Groups are weekly (unless otherwise posted). Our Monday evening group normally meets at Jonathan & Kristy’s house and our Wednesday evening group normally meets at Bruce & Susie’s house.
You are free to go to one or both!
A gathering to pray for Kitchener-Waterloo and our part in seeing the Gospel reach all people. As well as an opportunity to pray for one another, the nations and whatever else God puts on our hearts.
Monthly Prayer meetings are usually held at 7:30pm in a home on the second Sunday of each month.
