Lamplight Church in Kitchener Waterloo is not an independent church, but is an active member of the worldwide Newfrontiers family of churches. This movement started in the UK in the 1960′s and has now grown to over 800 churches in more than 60 nations and every continent.

We meet Sundays at the Mill-Courtland Community Centre from 10:00am. There are also Prayer Meetings, and weekly Connect Group meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays. Find out what to expect at our meetings here.

We welcome people from all backgrounds – whether you know a lot or nothing at all about Christianity – you’re sure to find a warm welcome with us. PLAYING OUR PART

As part of the wider body of Christ in KW, our vision is to be a continuously growing community that is made up of people of all ages, backgrounds and nations. People who:

• are passionate about Jesus.
• love and live out the Gospel of God’s undeserved kindness.
• welcome the work and gifts of the Spirit.
• are on a mission together to see lives transformed by Jesus in Kitchener-Waterloo, across Canada and around the world.

We’re here to love and serve each other, as well as loving and serving the city we are in.

On our way to achieving our big vision, we will express the following values:

A LIGHT FOR THE CITY
Lamplight is a safe place people can come to and find the incomparable hope and security of knowing Jesus Christ. As part of the body of Christ in KW Lamplight will – wherever possible – partner with other churches and organizations to help make the love of Christ known through prayer and practical help.  Lamplight believes in the power of prayer to change lives.

Wherever we gather – we know that Jesus is our only hope and that we are his hands and feet.

A GRACE FILLED COMMUNITY
No matter your story, Jesus accepts you as you are. We want Lamplight to be a church made up of people from all walks of life and every background possible; a community where both the disadvantaged and the privileged are helped to discover their new identity in Christ, where there is grace for one another’s needs.

Wherever we gather – we love each other as Christ first loved us.

CELEBRATING JESUS TOGETHER
We are passionate about Jesus. We believe the Bible to be God’s Word and we also welcome the work and gifts of the Holy Spirit every day. All believers are priests and as such Lamplight does not revolve around the gifting of just one person, instead all can hear from God, all have God-given spiritual gifts to discover and all can gladly enter His presence because of what Jesus has done.

Wherever we gather – we celebrate Jesus together, worshipping in Spirit and Truth.

FROM THE NATIONS TO THE NATIONS
We believe that the Church is a witness to Jesus Christ throughout the whole world and many nations are already here in KW. The coming together of people from different cultures and nations at Lamplight is a sign of the work of the Holy Spirit in removing divisions between people. As part of Newfrontiers, Lamplight is a church actively involved in church planting in Canada and other nations through prayer and the sending and receiving of people.

Wherever we gather – we honour what God is doing in this nation and other nations.
